The other night dear as I lay sleeping, I dreamed I held you in my arms.

The other night dear, as I lay sleeping I dreamed I held you in my arms But when I awoke, dear, I was mistaken So I hung my head and I cried. You are my sunshine, my only sunshine You make me happy when skies are gray You'll never know dear, how much I love you Please don't take my sunshine away A week ago tonight Kitty-Man passed away.  Monday was definitely one of the hardest days of my life I didn't know it was possible for a human to cry as hard as I did, especially for a cat.  Kitty-Man wasn't just a cat he was a companion.  When I first moved to Las Vegas I was going to be living alone and I hated that idea, so one day my fiance came and visited and I dragged him to Leid Animal Shelter to find a furry friend.  We came home with a 2 year old male Russian Blue.  I had never owned a male cat before, and I had in my mind that Cats were girls and Dogs were boys.  This is completely insane but it was just an idea that I was stuck with.  For the first

We will never forget.

The words 'We will never forget' are not just a phrase but a truth. There are certain moments in human history that are always remembered. My grandparents have never forgotten where they were when Pearl Harbor was bombed or when the Hindenburg crashed.  My grandmother has told me in detail her feelings the moment she heard and where she was on Sunday, December 7th, 1941.  The country was filled with horror knowing that we were brutally attacked as people went to church or simply slept. My grandparents and some family members remember where they were the moment President Kennedy was shot.  Regardless of political affiliation those who were alive then remember where they were and how they felt when the young handsome President, who was a symbol of our great nation was cut down in his prime. My parents remember where they were when Neil Armstrong landed on the moon.  The moon that we can see on a nightly basis and seems so familiar, but is also a world away. For me, I wi

I prayed for you.

When I was young somewhere in between a child and an adult I started praying for you. I didn't even know your name but I prayed for you. I prayed for you many years before we met. I prayed that if you had a test that day it went well. I prayed that wherever you were you had a nice day.  I prayed that if you were an athlete you had a good competition. I prayed that if you had a girlfriend you were learning good habits to become a wonderful husband. I prayed that wherever you were, you were happy. I prayed for our future relationship and marriage. I prayed that we would never lose the spark that made us who we were as the marriages around me had. I prayed for our future home. Even though I prayed for you I was confused. I was confused why I wasn't always having the best days. I was confused as to why there were bullies. I was confused why I wasn't dating. I was confused by the fact whenever I wanted to date someone a random act would happen to prevent it. I

Essential Oil Love

Image
I wrote this out about DoTerra Essential Oils recently and I  thought I would share it here. When I first started using DoTerra, I really enjoyed the fun smells and all of the different CPTG blends that they offered, I didn't expect it to be more than a glorified perfume or air freshener.  I quickly found out that I was mistaken. Approximately, six months ago I started using the LLV supplement pack, and my life changed for the better. I knew I needed to start taking vitamins and I thought why not try the ones DoTerra sells?  Since then, my health has improved in leaps and bounds. When I used to get sick CONSTANTLY, I have made it through cold/flu season with just one three day bout of a runny nose and sore throat. The symptoms were minimized by the on guard capsules, breathe stick and breathe drops. Additionally, I have been using the Vanilla Trim Shake for the last four months and I have found that I am full of extra energy throughout the day and I know that I am living m

Disney Fun: Part 3

Image
This summer we visited Disneyland in June for my Birthday and to get in the Disney mindset for an upcoming Disney World trip, I am so glad that we did that as Disneyland was still very fresh for our Disney World trip and I can safely say that I saw a lot of differences and similarities.  So I am going to continue breaking down my thoughts for you here, in my favorite form - LISTS!! 1) Size   - Disney World is huge.  At 40 sq miles it completely dwarfs Disneyland at their measly 85 acres.  I always knew that DW was huge, but it didn't really hit me until we were checking into our hotel. The woman at the front desk (who I will never see again but she was one of the nicest/most helpful people I've ever met) told us to allot 30 minutes to get to Magic Kingdom.  We realized that some of that time was waiting for the bus, but it was a good 20 minutes to get there on their bus.  We were staying on property!  I was shocked by the distances to different parks and hotels.  We

Disneyland vs. Disney World: Part 2 - Rides/Attractions

Another way to compare Disneyland and Disney World is to talk about rides and attractions, with four parks Disney World has many more attractions than Disneyland.  Many of Disneyland's rides are also found at Disney World but they are not the exact same and that is what I will focus on. First off, the fast pass system is completely different at the two parks.  At Disneyland when you get into the park you go to your first choice ride and get a fast pass and you cannot get another one until you have used that one.  So if you run to the Cars ride in DCA and your time isn't until 3 pm, you cannot get another fast pass until that one has been used or the one hour time window has run out.  Disney World, on the other hand, lets you preplan up to 3 fast passes per day 60 days in advance.  When we were at Disneyland in June, I already knew what rides I would be riding in DisneyWorld in July.   I loved being able to pre-plan my entire trip to Disney World as I am a big planner

Disneyland v DisneyWorld pt 1: the food

In July, we went to Disney World with our really good friends and their children, we had planned and saved for this trip for two years (more or less) and I wanted to talk a little about that on my blog. Additionally, I have been an annual pass holder for Disneyland for a few years and it was a lot of fun to see the differences between the two places. I went to my first Disney Park in the Spring of my senior year of high school.  Every few years our high school band took the trip to Disney World and played at one of their nighttime parades in Magic Kingdom.  It was a fantastic trip combined with the fact it was my first time and I was there with my closest girl friends.  We had 3 days in the parks; Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and MGM (Now Hollywood Studios).  This was about two years after Animal Kingdom opened and if you have only three days that park gets cut.  I remember on that trip Epcot was my absolute favorite.  I loved walking through all of the countries and eating around the
